क्या आपको Plotter के बारे में पता हैै? देखा जाए तो आप छोटी-छोटी pictures को print करने के लिए एक किसी भी general store के printer  का उपयोग करते हैं। जिन्हें ज्यादातर General stores में देखा गया है, फिर office and फिर घरों में ,लेकिन जब बात की जाए बड़े size की print की ,जैसे की  किसी भी Building का structure,  किसी भी bridge  या dam  का blue print निकालना हो तब इन जगहों पर normal printer  का उपयोग नहीं किया जाता है। यहां पर जो devices  का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है उसका नाम है  Plotter..

 इस plotter को इस प्रकार से बनाया गया है जैसे कि output device होते हैं, जिनका इस्तेमाल बड़े graphs,large designs के hard copy print करने के लिए किया जाता है । जैसे कि construction maps ,engineering drawings,architectural plans और business charts. इन plotter machines को आप peripheral components के तौर पर अपने computer system  में add करवा सकते हैं या एक  standalone device के  तौर पर उसकी अपनी ही internet processor होती है जिसके साथ वहा Run कर लेता है ।  तो चलिए बिना समय गवाएं plotter के विषय में जानते हैं।

Plotter क्या होता है ?

 

देखा जाए तो एक Plotter एक printer जैसा ही होता है, परंतु उसे इस प्रकार से design किया गया है, जैसे कि vector graphics को print कर सके, यह papers में individual dots  को prints करने के बजाय plotter continuous lines draw करता है । 

यही plotter को ideal बनाता है architectural blueprints, engineering designs, और  दूसरे CAD drawings को  करने के लिए ।

यह plotter एक type के graphics printer होते हैं । जो कि ink pens का उपयोग करते हैं।   इसमें pens अक्सर paper के surface में move करने लगते हैं, वहीं इन plotters का उपयोग vectors graphics format में किया जाता हैै।

Plotter का  invention किसने किया?

 

Plotter का invention सबसे पहले Remington-Rand के द्वारा year 1953 में हुआ था । Actually यह एक conjunction था UNIVAC computer के साथ, जिसका इस्तेमाल technical drawings create करने के लिए किया जाता था।

Plotter कैसे काम करता है?

Plotter के दो important types है जिसके बारे में आपको पता होना चाहिए यदि आप plotter के बारे में जानना चाहते हो, की  plotter कैसे काम करता हैै , यह दो नाम है उनके: Flatbed plotters and drum plotters.

i)Flatbed plotters: यह एक ऐसा system  है जिसका उपयोग करके आप paper को fix रख सकते हैं, और plotter pen को ऊपर और नीचे move कर सकते हैं and वही same left and right  भी करता है । यह एक ऐसा paper  है जो required marks draw करने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

ii) Drum plotters:  इसमें आप pen को ऊपर और नीचे move कर सकते हैं और साथ ही paper को left और right करने के लिए drum को rotate करना पड़ता है।  यह activate करता है drum plotters को footprint छोटा होने के लिए final paper size  के comparision में।

Plotters में एक से ज्यादा pen का भी इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, जिससे कि यह इसे अलग-अलग colours को draw करने के लिए permission  देता है।

अब जानेंगे हम Plotter की definition क्या है? 

 

1. यह plotter एक type  का computer hardware होता है, जो कि बहुत हद तक printer जैसा ही होता है और इसका इस्तेमाल vector graphics को print करने में किया जाता हैै ।
2. यहां पर toner के जगह में ,plotter  का उपयोग किया जाता है ,  एक  pen,pencil, marker,  या कोई दूसरा writing tool  जिससे  यह draw  कर सके multiple continuous lines paper  के ऊपर, ना कि series of dots   जैसे  कि  एक traditional printer में होता  है।
3. एक समय हुआ करता था जब इसका उपयोग बहुत ही किया जाता था computer -aided design  के रूप पर , लेकिन अब इन devices का इस्तेमाल थोड़ा कम होने लगा। क्योंकि इसके स्थान पर wide-format printers का उपयोग किया जाने लगा।
4. Plotter का इस्तेमाल schematics के hard copy बनाने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है और साथ ही दूसरे related applications  के लिए भी इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

Plotter के types क्या है? 

 

देखा जाए तो plotter के कई प्रकार होते हैं परंतु हम आज आपको उसके कुछ महत्वपूर्ण plotter के प्रकारों के बारे हम बताना चाहेंगे तो चलिए बिना देरी किए...!!!!!!

i) Drum Plotter:

 इन plotter में एक प्रकार का drum होता है, जो  paper के ऊपर design करना रहता है उसे drum में रखा जाता है। यहां पर drum दोनों ही direction  में rotate करने मे  सक्षम होते हैं। 

 Plotters में एक से ज्यादा pen और pen holders होता है । ताकि यह holders को mount कर सके और drum surface के perpendicular direction में हो। 

 Holders में स्थित pens बड़ी ही आसानी से left  से right  और right से left move कर सकता है। यह graph plotting program control भी करता है,pen और drum के movement करने में।

Drum plotters जिसे roller plotters  भी कहा जाता है ,वह spin करता हैं  paper को back  और forth एक cylindrical drum  में, वही ink pens left  और right  move करता है।

ii) Flatbed Plotter

यह Plotters का उपयोग complex design, graphs, charts में किया जाता है। इन Flatbed plotter को table के ऊपर रखा जाता है।  इन plotter में एक pen और एक holder  होता है । 

इसमें pen आसानी से अलग-अलग sizes के characters draw कर सकता है।  इसमें एक से ज्यादा pen और pen holding mechanisms का features भी होता है। प्रत्येक pen का ink एक अलग ही colors का होता है।  अलग-अलग colors होने से यह बहुत ही लाभदायक होता है,multicolor design की document produce भी करता है । 

इसमें plotting की area भी variable होती है । जैसे कि यह vary करता है A4 से 21 '*52' तक । Flatbed Plotters में एक बड़ा horizontal surfaces होता है जो की paper में place किया जाता है । यहाँ पर  travelling bar lines को  draw भी किया जाता है paper के ऊपर जैसे-जैसे यह surface  के  across move करता है । Flatbed Plotters में pen move करता है जो की pen के X and Y axes के across होता है।

यह आसानी से बहुत से designs draw कर सकता है।
जैसे कि: care, ships, Airplane, shoes, Dress design, Road और  Highway design etc...

iii) Inkjet plotter

यह inkjet plotter में , images  को create  किया जाता है। जो कि छोटे droplets  का  ink  होता  है और यह एक paper  में spray किया जाता है। 

यह बहुत ही popular choice होता है advertising agencies और graphic designers के लिए क्योंकि inkjet plotters का उपयोग generally  बड़े output में किया जाता है। 

जैसे कि banners और billboards,roadside के बड़े-बड़े  signs में भी etc..
यह दोनों ही thermal और piezoelectric models में available  है। Thermal inkjet plotter heat  का इस्तेमाल करता है ink को droplets  में spray करने के लिए, and piezoelectric  plotters  charged crystal ink का उपयोग करता है ink को apply करने के लिए।

iv)Roller plotter

इसमें paper move होता है जो कि plotter के माध्यम से काम करते है and machine drawing को print करता है ।

v)Cutting plotter

Cutting plotter एक  type का large scale cutting device  होता है । जो की ready-cut या vinyl lettering  और graphics को produce करता है। इनमें Automated plotter knives  material के  sheet को cut करता है।

इसका इस्तेमाल sign making ,billboard advertising और  vehicle graphics में किया जाता है । यह devices बहुत ही ज्यादा speed  और precision प्रदान करता है, जिससे कि Traditional method  को grain  करना  बहुत ही difficult होता है।

Plotter की printing size कितनी है? 

 

i) देखा जाए तो Drum और flatbed Plotters का output sizes बहुत ही बड़ा होता है Standard inkjet  और laser printer  के comparision में।

ii) For example एक typical inkjet primter create करता है documents  जो कि 8.5 inches तक wide होता है और वही एक drum plotter documents produce करता है जो कि 44 inches  तक wide हो सकता है।

iii) वही एक drum plotter के द्वारा print  किया गया document का length केवल paper के size जितना होता है। वही जो document जो कि flatbed plotters के द्वारा print किया जाता है उसकी length  और  width constrained होता है ,जो कि printing surface तक ही सीमित रहता है।

NOTE: जहां लोग अब भी pen plotters का इस्तेमाल करते हैं, वही  ज्यादातर  लोग models के स्थान पर wide-format inkjet printers  का उपयोग किया जाता है।

i) हम में से ज्यादातर लोगों को यह पता होगा कि plotter  असल में एक प्रकार का printers  है। जो कि printer का इस्तेमाल हम computers से  printput  या hard copy लेने  में उपयोग करते हैं।

ii) वही plotter का इस्तेमाल ज्यादातर बड़े size के graphics को बनाने के लिए किया जाता है ।जिसमें की एक pen और pen holder का इस्तेमाल होता है और paper में vector graphics को print किया जाता है ।

1. असल में Plotter एक sub category printers का  होता है ।
2. सभी plotters को हम लोग printer मान सकते हैं, लेकिन सभी printers को plotters नहीं मान सकते।
3. Line image draw करने के लिए plotters का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, and  printer का इस्तेमाल dots के images को draw करने के लिए किया जाता है।
4. एक plotter pen को hold करता है और lines को draw करता है और  वही printed  laser technology का इस्तेमाल करता है।
5. Plotter का इस्तेमाल हम बहुत ही बड़े images को draw करने के लिए करते हैं जैसे कि architecture में ,वही printer का इस्तेमाल हम ज्यादा बड़े images को draw करने के लिए नहीं करते।

• ADVANTAGES

1. Plotter easily  से large sheets  paper  में काम कर सकता है, जहां ये अपने high resolution को maintain भी रख सकता है।
2. इनमें बहुत सी  variety  के  flat materials  होते हैं जो कि print  किया जाता है। जिसमें  plywood,aluminum, sheet steel,cardboard  और plastic  भी include है इनमें।
3. Plotter किसी भी same pattern को draw  करने के लिए चाहे वह हजार बार ही क्यों ना हो ये  बिना किसी image degradation  के ये permission देता है।

• DISADVANTAGES

1. अगर हम एक Traditional printer से  इसका comparission  करें तो यह  size मे  बहुत ही बड़ा होता है  plotter से।
2. देखा जाए तो plotter  बहुत ही expensive  होता है एक traditional printer  के comparision  में।
